Made in Monte Rosa
New materials for architecture from the precious clays of the UNESCO Sesia Val Grande Geopark.
CottoZero: handmade cotto like never before.
CottoZero Ramazzotti does not simply continue the tradition of handmade cotto, but radically renews it.
Thanks to experience and careful, meticulous research, it now offers an innovative material that combines the beauty of a natural, handmade product with incredible performance: low absorbency, high mechanical resistance, breathability, extreme resistance to stains, easy maintenance, contemporary colours.
The characteristics:
CottoZero is made only with the precious clays extracted in the UNESCO Sesia Val Grande Geopark area; a unique geological area characterised by different clays, extremely pure and performing.
The different clays, after being atomised, are mixed in precise recipes to fully exploit their technical characteristics, and very little water is added.
A slow mix, made inside kneading machines generally used for bread-making, a great deal of care in the moulding stages and a very slow drying process prepare the material for insertion in muffle kilns where the temperature regulated with precise cycles brings the transformation to completion.
