Clays, minerals, and precious colors redesign matter

DANILO RAMAZZOTTI ITALIANHOUSEFLOOR

Cersaie 2026 – HALL 25 / stand B118

The installation opens with an imposing, sculptural volume dedicated to the launch of the new CottoZero Rare Heart collection. This line narrates the fascinating history of the Guia mine—an ancient local gold mine—whose rare minerals enrich the CottoZero body with unprecedented reflections and chromatic effects.

Moving further into the booth, large luminous frames outline an itinerary paced by innovative geometries and graphic elaborations. Within this setting, CottoZero reveals itself through original colors and sizes, while the deeply renewed Maiolica Ramazzotti finds expression in the new Metamorfosi project. This project was conceived to usher traditional majolica into the contemporary architectural context.

The journey concludes in the rear section of the booth, where two more intimate areas—designed like a private picture gallery—welcome visitors to show them the secrets and nuances of the Ramazzotti collections in detail.

COTTOZERO RARE HEART: THE MINERAL SOUL OF MONTE ROSA TRANSFORMED INTO A SIGNATURE SURFACE.

Born from the encounter between the industrial archaeology of the Piedmont region and high-end ceramic craftsmanship, CottoZero Rare Heart is the new avant-garde collection signed by Danilo Ramazzotti.
Following its preview at Palazzo Litta during Milan's Fuorisalone, the collection is officially presented within a sculptural installation at Cersaie. The line reinterprets the very concept of handmade terracotta, introducing a material narrative rooted deep within the bowels of Monte Rosa.

The Inspiration: The Guia Mine

The "Rare Heart" that gives the collection its name is a tribute to the Guia Mine, an ancient gold mine located in the valleys of Monte Rosa. The geological distinctiveness of this site, rich in sedimentations and precious minerals, inspired the creation of an unprecedented surface. The extracted and re-elaborated minerals, combined with precious Piedmontese clays, infuse the CottoZero surface with a series of iridescent reflections, metallic glows, and chromatic variations impossible to replicate industrially.

The collection unfolds through a trilogy designed by Glauco Ramazzotti:

  • CottoZero Miniera: Characterized by a strong materiality that enhances the deep, stratified tones of virgin earth.
  • CottoZero Terre d'Oro: Where a soft texture evokes the imaginary flow of water, occasionally revealing mineral inclusions that ignite the surface with glows and chromatic fusions.
  • CottoZero Polvere di Stelle: Where the matter is traversed by luminous elements and irregular, shifting gleams.

METAMORFOSI BY DANILO RAMAZZOTTI: THE EVOLUTION OF HANDMADE BECOMES A NEW DESIGN GRAMMAR.

With the new Metamorfosi collection, Danilo Ramazzotti IHF marks a true revolution in the world of handmade surfaces, demonstrating how ceramic tradition can evolve to meet the standards of contemporary architecture. Metamorfosi is not intended as a mere line of wall coverings, but as an avant-garde expressive tool that transforms color into pure matter.

Through extensive research, Danilo Ramazzotti introduces a handmade biscuit (biscotto) that is thinner and geometrically more controlled. This allows for installation with minimal, consistent grout lines, bringing the characteristic charm and irregularity of handmade products into modern, clean, and rigorous architectural contexts.

The Power of Color: Deep Color Technique.
The glazing, executed strictly by hand, is elevated by the introduction of the exclusive Deep Color Technique. This proprietary technology, developed within the company's manufacturing facilities, utilizes specially formulated glazes with high-concentration pigments. The high-density glaze application bestows a unique visual power and depth upon the surface. Color is no longer a simple surface coating; it gains a three-dimensional consistency, vibrating under the light and offering unmatched aesthetic and technical features.

Danilo Ramazzotti Dynamic Design: Rather than closed collections, these are open color worlds capable of dressing all the sizes offered in the catalog.

27 sizes and 126 colors to narrate any design concept.
